LARGE! "Mutton Fat Jade" Bonsai & Birds Sculpture Nephrite Figurine Carving Sculpture

"Nephrite can be found in a translucent white to very light yellow form which is known in China as mutton fat jade, in an opaque white to very light brown or gray which is known as chicken bone jade, as well as in a variety of green colors."To be clear, this is not my area of expertise! This was purchased via auction and was listed/described as "Fat Mutton Jade." I acquired it because its beauty and form attracted my eye :-)My research, I'm not sure this can be "Mutton Fat" Jade as it's too green. Nor is it the dark green of Jadeite. I don't believe it's Soapstone as it's translucent.I love that it's in a Bonsai Tree Form! It emerges from its jardiniere and is pleasing that it orients from the rightat its tallest and gently curves down to the left. It's my impression that it's a Tree Peony, but could be a Magnolia for all I know, ha! The blossoms hint of holding their breath before they might open to their full glory. I count 12 blossoms in front and 4 smaller in the back. That's 8+8 = 16 = Double Luck in Chinese numerology, ha! The 2 Birds on the far top right are either just enjoying whatever bugs they've just eaten or squabbling, ha!MARK - none (attributed to Ando)SPECS - about 12.5"L x 8"H x 2.25"WCONDITION - EXCELLENT!- upon close careful examination >- no hairlines, cracks, chips or flakes- mother nature's "faults" of brown and black "Inclusions" in the form of spots- "cracks" inherent of its natural formation are present on the jardiniere part
